Tokyo Rising | Palladium Boots

Tokyo Rising | Palladium Boots

Tokyo, through the eyes of Pharell, as Tokyo faces a new reality after the tragedy in March:

"[...] while persistent challenges still lay ahead, the city’s creative class is hell-bent on making sure that their hometown thrives. Innovative and resilient, they are defining the future of Tokyo on their own terms. We put our boots on and went exploring."

I very much enjoyed it and highly recommend watching it. I think Pharrell really does love Tokyo and brings up the delicate subject of the earthquake in a great way. I always like seeing love for Japan, and familiar sights such as Trump Room and neighbourhoods I like in Tokyo (which won't be so little-known after this documentary).

Tangentially, Pharrell makes about five appearances in Neil Strauss's "Everybody Loves You When You're Dead," which confirms this image I have of him being a total tool. That aside, it's an entertaining series of videos.
