Gone running

I'm not the most athletic person, but I love running. I try to go for a run every day, even if I'm tired, and even if it's short. Running is my thing. I put on my headphones, and just get lost in my thoughts.

I missed running outdoors when I was living in Korea. The few times I did, I got some weird stares, as it is a very unusual activity to do in public (walking while clapping your hands, however, was considered completely normal). Seoul doesn't offer tons of green spaces either, and running in the streets is way too dangerous.

Since I've been home, I've been running so much, and loving it. Now I just need new music to run to. I usually run to anything ranging from Girl Talk, the Pixies, Hot Chip, Bloc Party, and even Wilco. Care to share you favourite workout playlists? New music, new motivation.

PS- The playlists you shared last time were so much fun!

I need to start running again, after I finished my half marathon I was runned-out. I'd love to run in a foreign city, I can only imagine what that was like in Seoul!

I love running too, now that the season is cooler I use my treadmill.

I must admit I have a rotating list and when it comes to "running" songs, I have no taste - I put away the Dylan, Stevens and Davis and instead play fast tracks such as "My Sharona", "Rebel Yell" and the Romeo Void... if anyone can please offer better running music I am all bleeding ears.

I hate running, but I still like to train in a gym.
My playlist includes Black Eyed Peas, Jamiroquai, Jean Leloup (Isabelle ├ža se court bien...), Running on sunshine (Jesus Jackson), Offspring (le vieux stuff), RJD2,Blister in the sun (Violent Femmes).

Well, having gone through my playlist, I realise I need to update it! lol
I'll watch out for other people's ideas...

Cheers!

If I listen to music when I run (I usually have Alex to run with and we chat) then it's The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes - upbeat stuff.

I could run to any M.I.A. song, but Paper Plans is my favorite - I'll listen to it on loop for miles. Her songs are not only catchy, but they have the perfect tempo to keep my pace nice and even, regardless of my speed.

I love Girl Talk! I also love working out to Biggie, Kings of Leon, Jay Z, and Mary J. I haven't worked out in a while but those would be my suggestions.

I don't listen to music when I run. I'm ususally concentrating on my breathing. lol. I guess that says something about what kind of shape I'm in.

Great post. I really enjoy running too. Haven't done it for a long time cause of the winters in Canada and I didn't have a gym pass during school last semester. But now that I'm in Australia, I should really take advantage of the warm weather and go running.

Hope you're having a good week.

oh girl, i tried to get into running and i had it going for a little bit at the beginning of the summer. but sadly i found a new love...personal training haha. so, you're awesome for being able to run, keep it up, and be in love with it.

when i work out i love listening to 80's stuff like cyndi lauper, the bangles, go go's etc. i imagine that i'm with them in one of their rad music videos. hahaha.

i love to run. i normally just put my ipod on shuffle and listen to all the random songs that i'd normally pass by. each playlist is unique, and most times perfect for the mood i'm in. have a great weekend!

I miss it, too! I can't imagine trying to run outside in Hong Kong - all the smog, heat, people... nightmare. So now I just run in the gym, watching their DVDs.
